Investing in Your Investment

United Social Ventures supports innovative social entrepreneurs in the fund raising journey up to the first $1M.

Over 10 years of work in Uganda, we’ve recognised that the biggest roadblock to development is enabling young changemakers to access capital. So, we’re set up to mediate between social entrepreneurs and funders through our unique “IVF” process for venture germination and growth

Invest
We get paid from ventures’ future funding meaning our success is tied to entrepreneurs’.
Validate
We build Prototyping Plans to refine venture models &
demonstrate product-market fit.
Fundraise
We create decks and financials into a data room, and share with matched funders in our network.
What’s the evidence this works?

What are the costs?

United Social Ventures is a nonprofit, so our pricing is designed to not be a barrier to access for any founder.

Ventures pay an upfront commitment fee of $100, and sign a contract to pay USV a percentage of financing raised up to $1M:

These deliverables will help to stimulate sales, improve production efficiency and capacity, and meet the requirements for investment-readiness for pre-seed stage funders.

At the end of the process, United Social Ventures will add the venture into it’s DealBook to assist with seeking financing for the next grow initiative.
